"Dashing through the snow" on a Mad River Rocket from Vermont. As an avid sledder I have accumulated quite the quiver of sleds over the years, but the one sled that I turn to in most conditions and terrains is the "Mad River Rocket" sled. Whether sledding in my back yard, through the fields or in the heavy woods behind my house the control that the Mad River Rocket offers allows me to create curving, carving runs around trees, over stone walls and through swales in the deepest of powder or on crusty hard pack. The kneeling position of the sled gives me good visability of what's ahead, and a touch of my hand to the snow is enough for the sleds mono-rail and 4 grip edges to carve a turn like a pair of shaped skis. Although I perfer my runner sleds when the dirt road gets icy, or moving hay, the Mad River Rocket is my first choice for all other conditions. Take a look at what is available for the 2008/2009 season.
