Join Clearwater Sports for SUP Yoga this summer and enjoy the natural tranquility that comes with mindful yoga asana while floating on water. The gorgeous mountain valley and serene lake provide perfect conditions for meditative experiences. Drop into your inner peace through the gift of self-love and self-care.
In SUP yoga, your paddle board will be your yoga mat floating on the flatwaters of Blueberry Lake! Gentle winds may softly guide you and your SUP to and fro – this enhances the yoga experience by inspiring mindfulness, concentration, and balance. Shaina will offer slow paced vinyasa flow movements with modifications and variations to accommodate for all levels – from total newbies to intermediate practitioners alike.
We will meet at Blueberry Lake where you will grab your gear. Class begins with a 7-10 minute warmup paddle to one of the lake’s protected coves. Shaina will then lead class with an emphasis on relaxation and the gradual opening of the body. The asana sequence will be followed by a brief sitting meditation before a leisurely paddle back to shore.
Classes are approximately 75 minutes and include the paddle board, paddle, and PFD. Please arrive at Blueberry Lake 10-15 minutes early to grab your gear and get situated in the water. Please wear a swimsuit or other appropriate clothing, and bring a towel, sunblock, and water bottle (please no single-use plastic!). All levels are encouraged to join and you must know how to swim!
