This two hour introductory clinic will touch upon the basic skills necessary to start exploring the backwoods of backcountry skiing.on skis. The emphasis is on fun and will give the beginner a good background on all aspects of including equipment, safety and basic maneuvers. Backcountry Skiing Skills
Join Clearwater Sports for an adventurous ski workshop in the solitude of the backwoods of. This five hour program teaches the beginner or intermediate skier all of the techniques necessary to become a safe off trail skier. The first basic skill to be taught will be the kick and glide technique. Once the kick and glide is mastered on the flats, the group will start to take their skills into the . In the afternoon, groups will learn the basics of the turn, perhaps the most important tool in the skiers bag. It is a day full of fun and learning and will help build your skills and confidence to head into the mountains.

Reservation and Cancellation Policy
All activities and equipment rentals require advanced reservations and prepayment. Individual cancellations must be made within 48 hours prior to the event/rental. Groups of six people or more must cancel 10 days in advance or payment will be forfeited. All camp, instructional programs and trips with meals require a 14 day notice of cancellation. 18% gratuity added to all trips involving meals. If Clearwater Sports cancels an event/trip, a full refund will be issued. We are not responsible for inclement weather, trips go rain or shine. Prices subject to change.
